The purpose of the research can be summarized as follows:
- To explore good educational practices in the field of the exercise of political rights of people with Learning Difficulties.
- To explore institutions and families’ perspectives on raising awareness on political rights of people with Learning Difficulties.
A total of six European countries have participated in this research. These are Italy, Malta, Ireland, Hungary, Denmark and Spain. In order to get meaningful information from each of them, the sample of the present study involves both families with a child with Learning Difficulties and different schools and institutions that work with children with Learning Difficulties.
